Herrera Iron Works is pleased to announced that Louis Herrera has been newly appointed to the Texas Folklife Resources' Board of Directors. Texas Folklife Resources is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, celebrating and fostering the diverse and living traditional arts heritage of the Lone Star State.

In addition to his regular duties on the Board, Louis also continues in Texas Folklife's Master/Apprentice program by teaching his skills to young students in Central Texas.
